Have you prayed and prayed, yet no answer has come?  Here is what to do.

You can imagine the emotions of a mother with young children after she was told that she had stage IV cancer. Will I live long enough to see my precious children graduate? Will I see them marry their sweethearts?

I received a message from a young mom in this exact situation. She was suffering from a recurrence of Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare cancer of the bone and soft tissue. The cancer had spread to her lungs, lymph nodes, shoulder, hip, foot, and leg. As you could imagine, she was in a lot of pain.

I asked if I could pray for her, and she agreed, adding, "I'm in the hospital waiting for a PET scan right now."

So I prayed. Nothing immediate happened .... that she could tell. The pain was still there. She didn't feel heat or tingling. NOTHING.

BUT, just because she didn't FEEL anything did not mean that nothing actually happened. My God heard EVERY WORD!

The next day, she sent me another message.  "Excellent news! I am almost at NED (no evidence of disease)! The hip mass, foot mass, and the shoulder mass are GONE! The lymph nodes no longer contain cancer! The lung mass has shrunk to less than 1 cm! My doctor says it is miraculous."

NOW, for the REST of the story....

She explained to me that just as she was beginning her PET scan, without any warning, she felt INTENSE HEAT all the way down her shoulder and back - ON THE SIDE WHERE THE CANCER WAS. It was HOT, HOT, HOT. It happened just in the nick of time!

Why did God wait until the beginning of the PET scan to touch this woman?  I don't know. The important thing is that He did touch her.

Remember that with "faith and patience " we inherit the promises." (Hebrews 6:12)

You may need healing in your body or a financial breakthrough. Perhaps you are waiting for an open door in an area of ministry or a restoration in your family. Discouragement is starting to set in. What do you do?

  1. Fill your mind with the Word of God concerning God's promise. As my friend, Roger Sapp, says, "If you need a harvest, plant more seeds."
  2. Cast out every opposing thought to God's Word and replace with the truth. (Philippians 4:8)
  3. Pray with THANKSGIVING. (Philippians 4:6) THANK HIM, PRAISE HIM, REJOICE, AND REJOICE SOME MORE because your answer is on its way.
  4. NEVER give up!

Jesus told His disciples to cross the lake on one occasion while He stayed to pray. You know the rest of the story - a huge storm surrounded them. Where is Jesus? Why did He send us across here. Didn't He know what would happen? Does He even care?

Then they saw a figure. They thought it was a ghost, and they screamed in terror.

IT WAS JESUS! He quickly calmed the storm, and on they went.

Many times in the midst of our storms, we think Jesus is not there. We don't recognize Him.  We imagine that He is not acting, so therefore, He must not even care.

Oh, my friend, NOTHING could be farther from the truth. He IS there! He DOES care! He is often working in the background to bring you to the fulfillment of all He has promised. TRUST HIM!

Lord, cause Your power to go through bodies and minds right now as my friends read this, and bring healing and hope to each one. In Jesus' name, amen

Together in the harvest,

Sherry
